Personalized Day-to-Day IoT Based Smart Mirror Using Facial Recognition

The increased use of mobile phones has become a major concern due to its negative impact on human health and social life. People tend to spend excessive time on their mobile devices, which often leads to a sedentary lifestyle, eye strain, and mental health issues. This has led to a need for addressing the situation and proposing new ideas to reduce screen time without losing smart features of the smartphone. This study focuses on how a smart mirror can increase productivity and be able to use smart features like AI and IoT along with touch and voice commands. A Smart Mirror is a high-tech device that can display all the smart features of a mobile phone, such as notifications, messages, and weather updates, but in a larger and more immersive way. Moreover, to make the mirror more personalized and more secure multi-user through facial recognition is implemented. The mirror also provides personalized AI features such as weather, calendar, emails, news feed etc. The personalized user interface is secure as it uses face recognition. With its interactive display, customization of the Smart Mirror can be done to suit the individual preferences, making it a versatile and practical device.
