Analysis of High Frequency Transfer Impedance of Current Probe Based on Electromagnetic Simulation

Transfer impedance is a core indicator of current monitoring probes, but due to the influence of the structure and material of the probe, the transfer impedance experiences resonance and drops at high frequency. This paper focuses on the impact of coil turns, magnetic core permeability, and the distance between the shielding shell and the coil on the transfer impedance of current probes. The above influencing factors were analyzed through simulation of the electromagnetic model of the current probe. The research indicates that when the magnetic permeability of the core is high, the magnitude of the permeability has no significant effect on the resonance of the transfer impedance; The more turns of the winding and the closer the distance between the shielding shell and the coil, the lower the resonance frequency of the transfer impedance.
