Abstract:

This paper presents a quad-core RISC-V SoC custom-designed for energy control units and data concentrators for smart meters. Leveraging the open-source framework Chipyard and employing a high-level hardware description language and the agile design methodology, we successfully implemented the SoC. The chip achieves a maximum core clock frequency of 1.32GHz in a 22-nm CMOS process, with a nominal power consumption of 310.3mW.
