Research on Low Latency Frame Structure in the Smart Grid

The construction of the energy IoT has achieved preliminary results, but the introduction of green new energy has placed higher demands on it. Due to the instability of their output power, these new energy sources require real-time control and scheduling. Therefore, ensuring low-latency transmission of signals in the energy IoT is crucial and the most important issue in the energy IoT. The fixed configuration of traditional TDD systems for uplink and downlink transmission results in uncontrollable transmission latency, which cannot meet the requirements for low latency. This paper proposes a flexible and variable low-latency TDD frame structure that can quickly change the uplink-downlink configuration of TDD. In addition, we also propose a short-latency transmission scheme that adjusts the modulation scheme flexibly using channel information, thereby increasing the probability of successful demodulation with only two transmissions.
