Design and Implementation of Multiple Sampling Rate Merging Unit

Merging unit widely used in domestic intelligent substations adopt a sampling frequency of 4kHz, which can meet the needs of bay level protection and measurement. Higher sampling frequency requirements such as power quality or PMU typically require a frequency of 12.8kHz or higher. This article proposes a scheme for transmitting multi sampling frequency data through a common port, using a merging unit device to meet the sampling needs of different specialties in the substation. Tests have shown that this scheme is suitable for networking, with low requirements for frame spacing and delay, reducing the number of sample devices, and improving the sharing of sampling data.
