Design of PTZ Gesture Teleoperation System Based on the Kalman Filter

This paper proposes a pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) gesture teleoperation method based on the Kalman Filter. By mapping the changes in the pitch angle and yaw angle of the hand obtained by Leapmotion to the desired angle of the two-degree-of-freedom PTZ, the teleoperation control based on the gesture for the PTZ is realized. To reduce the interference caused by hand jitter and sensor noise, this paper uses the Kalman Filter to process the measured values of Leapmotion. The experiment results show that the PTZ gesture teleoperation system based on the Kalman Filter can effectively resist interference and ensure the stability of the PTZ control.
