The Application of the Fifth Generation Mobile Communication Technology in Data Link Systems

Information warfare is one of the important forms of future warfare, which places high demands on communication capabilities. The existing military communication technology is difficult to meet the distribution needs of a large amount of information on the battlefield. Therefore, the acceleration of the development of military communication through civilian mobile communication has gained widespread recognition in the industry. However, the inherent characteristics of mobile communication make this process very slow. The key technologies of the fifth generation mobile communication can eliminate and alleviate some obstacles to the militarization of mobile communication, effectively improving the transmission performance of existing military communication systems. This article explores the application of the fifth generation mobile communication technology in data links and proposes an architecture for a data link based on 5G mobile communication technology.
