Optimization of Coordinate Control of Industrial Robot Manipulator for Virus Detection

The detection of infectious viruses using the mechanical arm of an industrial robot can face challenges such as bending and deviations between the detection position and the actual position. This paper introduces a novel approach to improve the control accuracy of the robot arm’s end by utilizing an auxiliary support device. Two models were developed: Model-1, representing the original robot, and Model-2, which incorporates the support device. Simulation results demonstrate that the support device effectively reduces the bending deformation of the robot arm under various working conditions, thereby enhancing operational accuracy. Model-2 exhibits an impressive 94.43% reduction in maximum displacement deviation compared to Model-1, along with a 41.22% decrease in maximum Mises stress. Furthermore, the proposed auxiliary support device is characterized by its simplicity, easy maintenance, and potential for reducing operational and maintenance costs in similar industrial applications, making it highly marketable.
