A Faster Evaluation Method of Product Acceleration Factors Based on a Reliability Model

Acceleration factor evaluation serves as the premise for acceleration tests and a speedier evaluation of product reliability. The current acceleration factor evaluation approaches primarily use multi-group stress acceleration test methods but ignore the redundancy backups of product components, thus resulting in prolonged testing times, higher costs and significant errors. This study forwards a faster evaluation technique of product acceleration factors based on a reliability model to address this issue. First, a product reliability model is constructed to describe the redundancy backup relations of product components and estimate the mean time between failure under normal service and acceleration conditions of products. Next, the device acceleration factor evaluation methods based on activation energy are presented, and a complete machine acceleration factor evaluation model of a product is developed to evaluate the acceleration factors of product acceleration conditions. Finally, an acceleration factor evaluation based on an integrated circuit is performed. The proposed method exhibits higher evaluation efficiency, minor errors and broader application scopes.
