Research on Power Quality Analysis System Based on IEC 61850

With the rapid development of the current economy, the increasing number of nonlinear users in the power grid has led to a deterioration in power quality. Due to the inconsistent interfaces and functionalities among various power quality monitoring and management devices, the transmission of information data has become a challenging issue, resulting in the isolation of power systems from each other and affecting system reliability. This paper, based on the IEC 61850 international standard, establishes a communication model for power quality monitoring and management, starting from information modeling, data flow, and functional decomposition, to facilitate information exchange between power systems. Multiple devices on the same drive can communicate with each other through IEC 61850, supporting interoperability between systems and enabling power quality monitoring and analysis. Ultimately, a power substation power quality analysis system with free configuration, interoperability, and long-term stability is established.
