Archetype of energy generation system from concentrated solar power and thermal gradient of water bodies and atmosphere.

The growing concern over environmental pollution and its associated health impacts has propelled renewable energy harvesting systems into a prominent position as a globally significant research focus. Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) technologies are being aggressively researched to counteract the negative consequences of non-renewable energy sources since solar energy is essentially a limitless resource. This study presents a novel, eco-friendly method of producing renewable energy by combining concentrated solar power with thermoelectric generators. The system consists of an evacuated tube collector on one side, facilitated by a copper heat spreader plate, and a thermoelectric generator coupled to a water tank on the other. Solar radiation is concentrated onto the evacuated tube collector through a parabolic dish system. The methodology operates by capturing solar radiation during the day and utilizing the stored energy in the heat sink to generate electricity at night. During the day, the evacuated tube collector acts as the hot side, and the water tank serves as the cold side. At night, the roles switch, with the water tank and the atmosphere functioning as the hot and cold sides, respectively. With very little space needed, this energy harvesting device has the capacity to produce 31.8 kW of energy each hour. It is very simple to deploy and replicable. Compared to other solar power-based energy harvesting systems, this approach stands out for its eco-friendliness, and ability to generate electricity even in diverse climatic conditions. This novel CSP energy harvesting mechanism holds significant promise as an efficient renewable energy system applicable to both developing and developed countries.
