Optimization of Regional Integrated Energy Systems Considering Power-to-Gas (P2G) and Load Forecasts

Due to the severity of the energy crisis and environmental pollution, the urgent development of renewable energy is imperative. However, addressing the variability and limitations of renewable energy requires appropriate management and integration strategies. In this paper, we aim to explore the role of power-to-gas (P2G) technology and combined cooling, heating, and power (CCHP) technology in the absorption of wind power in a regional comprehensive energy system. We focus on constructing simulation models for each component and equipment in the system, including the energy network models for electricity, gas, heat, and cooling. The system is then optimized to minimize the total operational cost. Additionally, this study incorporates thermal inertia for predicting cold and hot load demands. Finally, the paper verifies the feasibility of the proposed model and its ability to accommodate wind power consumption through arithmetic simulation.
