Simulation of Influence of Multi-Point Ground Fault Position on Current of 800kv Converter Transformer

The multi-point grounding faults of the core of UHV converter transformer are studied. The homogenization modeling method is used to simplify the core processing of transformer, and the equivalent model is used for finite element simulation to calculate the grounding currents between different grounding points. The results show that the grounding current increases with the increase of the distance between the two grounding points. When it is located on the side of the core, the grounding current is significantly lower than that of other types of grounding points. This article uses real data from the ZZDFPZ250000/500-800 ultra-high voltage converter transformer to perform simulation calculations. The results have certain reference value for the diagnosis of core grounding faults in ultra-high voltage converter transformers.
