Research on Voltage Reactive Power Regulation Method of Distribution Network Under Distributed Power Structure

The rapid penetration of renewable energy has led to the large-scale application of distributed generation (DG) in urban and rural distribution grids. The introduction of DG has changed the structure and operation of distribution grids, and in particular, fluctuating distributed power sources have posed challenges to reactive power and voltage control. In this study, a dual-objective extended reactive power optimization model is proposed for the reactive voltage problem of distribution networks containing photovoltaic (PV) and storage complementary power generation (SSP) systems with the starting point of reducing the network loss and lowering the risk of voltage overruns. The model fully utilizes the reactive power regulation of PV inverters and the active regulation capability of energy storage devices. The non-dominated sorted bi-objective optimization genetic algorithm with elite strategy (NSGA-II) is applied to find the non-inferior Pareto Front, and the optimal compromise solution is obtained based on fuzzy set theory. This method achieves a centralized optimal control of reactive voltage in MV distribution networks containing distributed PV. This research provides a powerful methodology and practice for solving the challenges of distributed power sources on grid control.
