Design and Analysis of High-Precision Infusion Systems

An infusion system for a dissolution apparatus is proposed, and its structural composition is analyzed. The system combines peristaltic pumps with injection pumps to design a high-precision infusion control scheme. The infusion flow rate is analyzed, taking into account the vibration of the liquid in the tubing, through fluid-structure coupling analysis. It is found that the natural frequency of the tubing is influenced by the flow rate, tubing length, and inner diameter. Specifically, the infusion system's flow rate has a minimal impact on the tubing's natural frequency, increasing the tubing length decreases the natural frequency, while increasing the inner diameter raises the natural frequency. To further investigate the system's characteristics, an equivalent circuit model for infusion is established, and MATLAB simulations are conducted. Different response curves for tubing length, tubing diameter, and test liquid are obtained, demonstrating the significant influence of fluid resistance and fluid capacitance on the system's response. Finally, an experimental validation session shows that the system satisfies the design requirements.
