Metabolic Dynamics Throughout the Menstrual Cycle: Body Temperature, Blood Sugar, and Weight

The menstrual cycle is an intricate physiological process that encompasses several hormonal and metabolic changes that occur during a woman's life. The possible effects on health of the changes in weight, blood sugar, and core temperature that happen throughout a woman's menstrual cycle are the focus of this research. After 150 female volunteers enrolled, their menstrual cycles were monitored for one year. Daily records of each participant's weight, temperature, and blood sugar levels were maintained. Further trials are part of the investigation to learn more about the connection between the menstrual cycle's stages. Fascinating new insights into the intricate connection between hormone level fluctuations and metabolic markers are provided by the results. Statistical analysis revealed a notable rise in core temperature during the luteal phase p < 0.05, in contst to the follicular period. Premenstrual periods were characterised by a substantial increase p < 0.01 in blood glucose levels, which changed markedly throughout the menstrual cycle. During the luteal phase, there was a statistically significant increase in weight fluctuations, which became more apparent (p < 0.05). Hormones released during menstruation may influence a variety of physiological processes, including but not limited to glucose homeostasis, weight management, and temperature regulation, according to this study. These findings have significant implications for the treatment of women's health, namely in terms of enhancing metabolic health and addressing potential difficulties associated with the menstrual cycle. Additional investigation is necessary to delve into the fundamental mechanisms and evaluate the therapeutic relevance of these changes. This research enhances our comprehension of the influence of the menstrual cycle on diverse physiological indicators, hence illuminating possible possibilities for personalized health therapies that may be customized to the several phases of the cycle.
