IoT-Based Intravenous Fluid Level Indicator Enhancing Patient Safety In The Era of Smart Healthcare System

In the proposed work, we have introduced an innovative intravenous (IV) fluid level indicator system designed to optimize patient care through real-time measurements and prompt alerts. The system integrates a NodeMCU microcontroller, Load Cell, HX711 amplifier, and Blynk platform for accurate monitoring and dosage administration. The Load Cell captures the weight of the IV container, with the HX711 amplifier facilitating Analog-to-Digital (ADC) conversion. The NodeMCU performs necessary automation for precise fluid level determination, enabling healthcare professionals to administer medications accurately. The seamless integration with the Blynk app enables remote monitoring of IV fluid levels and provides instant notifications to healthcare professionals. This user-friendly and cost-effective solution offers reliability in various healthcare settings. Rigorous experiments validate the system's exceptional performance, demonstrating its potential to transform patient safety and enhance healthcare practices. The proposed work presented herein contributes to the evolution of healthcare monitoring systems, particularly IV fluid management, ultimately leading to improved patient outcomes.
