Design of Small Wind Power Generation Control System Based on Mountain Climbing Search Method

Small wind power generation systems have the advantages of less regional restrictions, light weight, and convenient installation and debugging, and are widely used in agricultural and pastoral areas, outposts, meteorological stations, and other areas. However, problems such as high startup wind speed, short battery life, and low wind energy utilization coefficient still commonly exist. This article takes a 10kW small wind power generation system as the research object and designs a power controller for a small wind power system. Based on the maximum power tracking strategy, the mountain climbing search method is applied to actual multi wind speed conditions, and the dynamic characteristics of the power curve of this method are analyzed. Simulation calculations were conducted on the controller based on the circuit topology, and the results showed that the designed small wind power generation controller can operate stably under fluctuating wind speeds and achieve maximum power tracking function. The adoption of reliable and stable control technology is of great significance for improving the efficiency and utilization of small wind turbines.
