Electrical Network Optimization Based Vibration Control for Passive Vehicle Cabin

During the operation of a vehicle, ground-induced vibrations can lead to an uncomfortable experience for its occupants. To better improve the ride comfort of the commercial vehicle, this paper aims to conduct a further study on the construction and application of the passive cabin suspension layer and the electrical interconnection. A 4-port electrical network (EN) was established in the SIMULINK environment, while concurrently constructing the full-car suspension system model. The EN is embedded into the cabin suspension layer to enable comprehensive interconnection. Theoretically, this pattern of interconnection can isolate cabin motion in three dimensions-heave, pitch, and roll, while the ride comfort and handling stability can be enhanced through adjustment of the circuit components' parameters. Based on the current achievements of the cabin EIS system, this paper creates a constant-velocity road excitation simulation model using the ISO 8608 Class A road profile and cosine speed bumps within the time domain modeling stage. The objective is to assess how driving quality for light commercial vehicles is affected during uneven urban traffic conditions. The particle swarm algorithm in the MATLAB library is used to modify the resistor parameters within the EIS system for different vehicle velocities across varied driving scenarios. The simulation results show that the optimized passive cabin EIS system effectively suppresses the rebound response of the vehicle after sudden bumps.
