Advanced technique for network data collection and standardization to assess network performance and reliability

In today's digital world, customers expect the network to be highly reliable and performant. Hence, monitoring of the network involves collection of network statistics for quality of service and service level agreement. In this paper, we will focus on the Call Trace data which is collected for the events encountered with Radio Access Network (RAN) and includes the complete life cycle of the call including any call drops and interruptions. The challenge is to be able to continuously process the network data for root cause analysis in a standardized method. The solution discussed here will enable service providers to capture performance data from the 4G LTE and 5G network using a generic template driven approach. The data collected is parsed and streamed using Apache Flink and OpenShift Container platform without incurring any data loss.
