Effect Analysis of Phase-changing Coherent Jamming on Power Inversion Algorithm

Adaptive nulling antenna is widely used in the field of navigation anti-jamming. It is usually implemented using power inversion (PI) algorithm and can suppress jamming effectively. In order to improve the ability of interference, a new jamming strategy is proposed in this paper, which called Phase-changing coherent jamming. It continuously changes the form of interference by changing the phase information of coherent jamming. This paper first introduces the optimization algorithms of PI algorithm, including the Least Mean Square (LMS), Recursive Least Squares (RLS), and Sampling Matrix Inversion (SMI); Then, an array model under two coherent jammers is established for analysis. Finally, the effect of several PI algorithms under Phase-changing coherent jamming is studied through simulation. The results show that proposed jamming is difficult to filtered by LMS algorithm, while other algorithms can effectively remove this jammer, which could provide references for the design of jammer and the selection of anti-jamming algorithms.
