Fuzzy Knowledge Based Controller for Multiple Distributed Generators Placement

The proper placement of distributed generation (DG) is critical to improving system stability, reliability, reducing system losses, and increasing the system voltage profile. Ideal Distributed Generator (DG) placement is critical to reducing power losses in electrical distribution networks that accommodate uniform loads, concentrated loads and increasing loads. To optimize the potential benefits of distributed generation in power systems, the DG must be placed in the best possible location. Efficiently feeding DG units into distribution systems reduces CO2 emissions and increases network reliability. In this article, FKBC algorithm is used to place the DG in IEEE-33 RDN. The performance of the DG is tested at different loading condition. Overall 20-30% reduction in the power loss with 3-5% enrichment is the voltage is observed.
