Compact Size and High Gain Microstrip Patch Antenna Design For mmWave 5G Wireless Communication

mmWave communication is a pivotal component within 5G networks, playing a crucial role in providing accelerated speeds, expanded capacity, reduced latency, and supporting a wide range of applications vital for the evolution of wireless connectivity. This study focus on the design of a microstrip patch antenna with both compact size and high gain, specifically crafted for millimeter-wave (mmWave) 5G wireless communication systems. By achieving the balance between size reduction and gain enhancement, the antenna is engineered to fulfill the requisites of cutting-edge wireless networks functioning within the mmWave spectrum. Through rigorous design optimization, the objective is to optimize antenna performance for proficient 5G communication. In this work present a compact size microstrip patch antenna design that is work for the mmWave 5G communication at 24GHz operating frequency and its cover the 23.9GHz to 24.2GHz frequency band. The size of the presented antenna is 20.45×10×0.254mm3 and directivity gain is 9.41dBi.
