Monitoring the Scrum Team Using Internal and External Measure

The importance of monitoring in the Scrum process is due to the challenges inherent in Scrum implementation, such as the limited time available. Consequently, there may be delays in delivery and deviations from user expectations. Therefore, this research aims to monitor the software development team by incorporating internal and external measurements, namely the velocity chart and customer satisfaction. Through Spearman correlation analysis, it is revealed that there is no significant relationship between internal and external measures. Therefore, even if the team performs well in their tasks, it does not necessarily guarantee customer satisfaction, and vice versa. Hence, it is essential to maintain ongoing internal and external monitoring and measurement to support the team in achieving timely project completion, the quality of the software produced is in line with customer needs and aligns with stakeholders’ specified scope.
