The Complex Representation of an Audio Signal in Tasks of its Analysis and Processing

The existing algorithms for compact representation and analysis of audio signals have reached a high level of development. Further advancement is possible by using the complex representation of the signal, which requires the formation of an orthogonal signal from the original signal with high accuracy. The algorithm proposed below allows reducing the conversion error to the magnitude of 10^-5. The complex representation of the signal enables the evaluation of its properties that are important for subjective assessment by the listener and facilitates non-inertial signal level processing. Examples of original measurement and processing algorithms are provided.
