Provision of Telecommunications Services with Time-Differentiated Reliability on F5G Networks

Growing competition in the telecommunications market is forcing operators to take into account more and more specific needs of their customers and use their resources more efficiently. By offering the option of time-graded reliability, customers can focus more of their spending on critical periods (where the highest reliability is required) and this new option may be attractive to a certain portion of service consumers. The structure of the service level agreement (SLA) is considered, which allows customers to determine the critical time windows (CWO) in which the operator undertakes to meet their requirements for communication reliability. This structure is called SLA with differentiated requirements (SLA
dif
). Fixed networks of the F5G generation have been shown to be well suited to provide SLA
dif
services. The necessary ratios for assessing the economic efficiency of using SLA with differentiated requirements are obtained, the calculation results are presented, and the data obtained are analyzed.
