Improving the Concept of Low Cost PC-to-PC Industrial IoT Systems using Artificial Intelligence Algorithms on Credit Card Size Computers

Using machine learning algorithms on computers the size of a credit card is aimed at expanding the concept of PC-to-PC industrial IoT systems. Classification ML algorithm was used to train the model to predict the maintenance of devices connected to RTU side. The concept itself aims to reduce costs as well as replace expensive PLC devices with cheaper credit card-sized PC configurations. In addition to costs, the concept would also allow the use of advanced software solutions, both with remote control and the use of machine learning on remote sites, in this case RTU. The research additionally improves the concept itself by using a custom hardware interface where control of external devices is demonstrated.
