The Process of 3D Printing of a Hanging Structure Having No Support Structure

The support structure plays a key role in the process of printing parts because it facilitates the process itself, but at the same time, it brings a world of challenges that can significantly affect the efficiency of production. A process based on the production of solid models without a supporting structure in 3D printing is often used to reduce costs, material, and production time, especially for parts that have hanging or complex geometries, where it speeds up the production process itself. As part of the research conducted in this study, six distinct experiments were executed to investigate the influence of various parameters on the quality of 3D printing bridges without a supporting structure. The research underscores the significance of precise adjustment of printing temperature, proper configuration of the Bridge mode, and the impact of a cooling fan on the first layer during printing to achieve results of high-quality.
