On-line System for Monitoring Consumption and Power Quality Control in Order to Rationally Use Electricity in Industry Plant with Prosumer Status

Electricity consumption in production facilities and power quality control have become key indicators not only of good technical management of industrial facilities and business economics, but also an important aspect of the application of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) sustainability measures. In the paper, a relatively inexpensive and acceptable solution was proposed and practically implemented, which allows insight into the consumption of electricity and the power quality of the industrial plant-factory GRUNER in Vlasotince, Serbia. The main goal of the project was the rationalization of the use of electricity in the existing industrial system, raising the level of energy efficiency and finding additional opportunities for saving electricity. An additional motivation for this research was the specificity of the GRUNER factory, which, with the realization of a rooftop solar power plant with an output power of 500kW, received the status of first prosumer in Serbia, starting from April 1, 2022. Also, the goal of the project was to make it possible to implement a unique CLOUD system and to display the data on the internet browser and on the mobile application, so that the management of the company in Serbia and the management of the company in Germany would have an insight into the electrical consumption and power quality at any moment. At the end of the paper, presentations of practical implementation and experimental results are given, as a confirmation of the operation and sustainability of the realized system.
