Attack Identification and Classification in V2X Scenarios

The latest technological advancements in the area of vehicular wireless communications have enabled smooth, timely and location independent communication and exchange of information between vehicles and other vehicular communication elements, such as position and speed of the vehicle, traffic information, alarms, etc. This advanced concept is known as vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication, and it encompasses techniques for safe and efficient operation of cooperative intelligent transportation system (ITS) applications. The V2X communication highly relies on wireless environment characteristics, which are vulnerable to unlawful interception, eavesdropping, hacking and a range of other cyber security issues. This research is related to the analysis of the security and privacy concerns of the V2X scenarios.
