Research on the Construction Mode of “Star Type” High Reliability Distribution Network

To solve the main problems faced by the medium voltage distribution network in urban core areas of China, this paper first analyzed the advantages and disadvantages of typical high reliability network connection modes at home and abroad, and compared their differences in power supply reliability, economy, and difficulty in transformation implementation, as well as their applicability in urban core areas of China. Then, the concept of “star type” distribution network was proposed, and it's structure, configuration principles, and main characteristics were elaborated in detail. Finally, taking a grid in Zhengzhou as an example, the construction and transformation process from the current urban distribution network to the “star type” distribution network was analyzed. The final construction results indicate that under the “star type” distribution network, the pass rate of the line “N-1” reaches 100%, and the power supply reliability can be increased to over 99.999%, which effectively verifying the feasibility and effectiveness of the new network construction mode proposed in this paper.
