A simple auxiliary resonant pole inverter

This paper proposes a simple circuit topology for an auxiliary resonant pole inverter that doesn't take into account the parasitic parameters of the auxiliary switches. The inverter uses one auxiliary inductor and three auxiliary capacitors for each corresponding main switch and auxiliary switch to finish the soft-switching action and greatly reduces the parasitic oscillation due to the parasitic capacitor when the auxiliary switch ZVS is switched off, making the inverter simple and reliable. In addition, the paper gives the equivalent circuit diagram of this inverter in different operating modes, the operating terms of the inverter, and the principle for soft switching implementation, and provides a parametric specific example. Finally, a 1 OkW 110kHz experimental prototype is built using IGBTs as switching devices. The experimental results confirm that the inverter can effectively suppress parasitic oscillations and show its simplicity and reliability.
