Design of a Water Immersion Phased Array Ultrasonic Automatic Testing Device for Copper Aluminum Transition Clamp

The welding quality of brazed copper aluminum transition clamps is crucial for preventing the heating of the clamps during substation operation. Phased array ultrasonic testing technology can visually and effectively detect brazed copper aluminum transition clamps. A water immersion phased array ultrasonic testing automatic scanning device has been developed. The motion module is controlled by the control device to achieve the movement of the phased array probe in the three-dimensional space of the X axis, Y axis, and Z axis. The probe scans back and forth according to the preset path, It can achieve automatic detection of wire clamps, improving detection efficiency while ensuring the quality of collected data. The feasibility of the detection device has been verified through experiments, The test report shows that the displacement accuracy of the X, Y, and Z axes is 0.05mm, the detection speed of a single copper aluminum transition clamp is 2 minutes per piece.
