Photocatalytic-Degradation Induced Changes in Structural and Optical Properties of Gd-Doped TiO2 Ceramic Nanoparticles

In this paper, the photocatalytic-degradation induced changes in the structural and optical properties of Gd-doped-Ti02 nanoparticles are investigated under Xenon-light emitting photocatalytic reactor. To identify the influence of doping on the change in properties after the photodegradation, we compare the performances of undoped and Gd-doped- TiO
2
photocatalysts. The major structural and optical properties of both the undoped and doped TiO
2
are evaluated using standard material characterization tools before and after the photodegradation of Methylene Blue dye solution.
