Comparative Analysis of Breathing Curve Estimation from Transthoracic Bioimpedance and Electrocardiography

This study investigates the interplay between bioimpedance and ECG signals in the context of respiratory cycle analysis. By harnessing both types of physiological signals, we derived respiratory curves and classified them into inhalation and exhalation phases. Our findings highlight the variances in these signals and their correlations across different individuals. The results underline the importance of a multi-modal approach in physiological studies and provide insights into the complex relationship between cardiac activity and the respiratory process.
