Performance Evaluation of the EOS-07 millimeter wave humidity sounder (EOS-07 MHS) and Retrieval of Specific Humidity Profile

An experimental in-house-developed millimeter-wave humidity sounder onboard the EOS-07 (EOS-07 MHS) satellite was launched in February 2023. The MHS operates at six frequencies, centered on the 183.3 GHz water vapor absorption band. MHS has completed more than six months of operations. In this paper, we present the performance evaluation of the MHS observations and the retrieval of the atmospheric humidity profile based on the random forest algorithm.
