Active and Reactive Power Decoupling Control Strategy for LCC-HVDC Based on Finite Operation Range

This letter proposes a decoupling control strategy between active power and reactive power in a finite range. Based on the constant current control in the rectifier and constant voltage control in the inverter, the proposed control strategy can adjust the reactive power consumed by the converter under the condition of constant active power at both rectifier and inverter side, and the adjustable range of reactive power is defined. The simulation results verify the effectiveness and correctness of the proposed control strategy.
