A Micro-Grid Optimization Method with Shared Energy Storage Considering Carbon Trading Mechanism

With the rapid advancement of new energy sources, the integration of surplus energy from both the generation and consumption sides has emerged as a key focus of research. In response, this paper proposes an approach for optimizing the day-ahead economic dispatch of a shared energy storage station (SESS) based on a user group. Initially, it introduces the concept of a SESS along with its operational model. Subsequently, the SESS is implemented within a residential user group, considering the users' utilization of electric heating and participation in carbon trading. By effectively coordinating the charging and discharging power of each user through the SESS, the paper aims to achieve the optimal daily operational cost for the user group. Finally, the paper conducts a case simulation involving three residential users. By comparing scenarios where users independently configure energy storage with those where users utilize shared energy storage, the study concludes that the introduction of a SESS can significantly reduce the daily operational costs of the user group.
