Site Selection and Capacity Determination of Highway Charging Stations with Photovoltaic Energy Storage

This article proposes an optimization method for the location and capacity determination of highway charging stations containing photovoltaic energy storage. Firstly, a basic topology structure of a highway charging station with photovoltaic energy storage is designed based on the “source network load storage” structure. Subsequently, an optimization model is designed for the location and capacity determination of charging stations, with the objective function of minimizing comprehensive costs and constraints on the number of charging stations, upper and lower capacity constraints, and meeting the charging needs of electric vehicles. The algorithm proposed in this paper is effective and feasible through numerical examples. In the current context of “carbon peaking carbon neutrality”, this algorithm is of great help in solving the problem of high-speed difficulties in electric vehicles.
