An IoT-Based System for Alerting Vehicles in Accident-Prone Areas of a Hilly Region and Monitoring Parapet Damage

The present invention discloses an IoT based parapet damage tracking and notification system for accident-prone areas in hilly regions. The proposed system is designed for accident-prone areas in hilly region where roadside parapets are embedded with shock and impact sensors which help to find exact location in case of any damage to parapet occurs. When the parapet is damaged by accident, a signal from shock sensor is sent to edge node. This edge node checks the signal and sends it to nearest police station with signal receiver and an alarm system. Alarm will notify and confirm the damage/ accident with its location to the nearest police station then further action can be taken by the concerned authority to avoid severity.
