A Hybrid Technique For Efficient Modelling Of The Double Diode Photovoltaic Module

Inorder to design standard solar photovoltaic (PV) cells, parameters must be extracted. For the two-diode model of PV modules, this research suggests an accurate hybrid approach. It is different from earlier techniques, in that it does not rely on conjecture, which would erode accuracy. This improvement is mostly due to the use of a hybrid solution, which combines the numerical iterative process with the analytical method. To maximize the power extracted from photovoltaic panels, this work introduces the Double Diode Model of Solar PV modules, which allows for the determination of seven unknown parameters. A matrix equation is used to calculate the four parameters, $I_{\mathrm{p}\mathrm{h}}, I_{01}, I_{02}$, and $R_{p}$ analytically. For the remaining, however, a numerical iterative process is employed to optimize $R_{s}, a_{1}$, and $a_{2}$. The suggested method is tested on two distinct PV panel models the multi-crystalline KC200 GT and the multi-crystalline MSX 64 to verify its correctness. For both types of modules, the suggested approach is proven to have better accuracy when it comes to temperature and irradiance change. The results from the experimental data collected in a dynamic setting are used to validate the accuracy of the suggested method. The I-V and P-V characteristics of PV panels, which are derived from experimental and computational PV module values, show negligible variations. Hybrid techniques yielded estimated values of voltage and current at maximum power point under dynamic environmental conditions that show good agreement with experimental results.
