Energy Management for Hybrid Electric Vehicles Using GWO Based PI Controller

The current era has seen an enormous rise in contamination of the environment, resource expense increases, petroleum depletion, and higher consumer demands, all of which have contributed to the rapid expansion of Electric Vehicles (EVs). Furthermore, because conventional burning engine-powered cars create significant levels of pollutants, there is a growing demand for EVs powered by renewable energy sources (RES). PV-powered EVs are especially important because they are accessible every day and are simple to install. However, because PV systems are irregular, voltage variations occur. As a result, increasing the result of the PV organization is required. An improved DC to DC SEPIC converter is employed in this work to improve PV output, which is then used in submissions involving electric vehicles. To keep the link voltage of the DC at the output of the DC-DC converter consistent, a Grey Wolf Optimization (GWO) founded continuous loop approach is used. The electricity generated by the output of the Single ended primary inductance converter (SEPIC) is then supplied to Voltage source inverter (VSI), where it is transformed into AC power and served to EV or grid. The PI controller is used to achieve grid alignment. The recommended method reduces THD, lowers switched losses, and helps enable better energy control at EVs, resulting in uninterruptible power supply. In addition, it is executed in MATLAB/Simulink to test the performance of the recommended task.
