Proposed Integration of a Photovoltaic System to the Grid With a Power Control Based on Modulated Hysteresis Current Control

With a growing global recognition of the significance of transitioning towards sustainable energy sources, solar power continues to assume a pivotal role in the overall energy mix. However, it is important to acknowledge that despite its numerous advantages, photovoltaic power integration into the energy grid poses certain challenges, notably in terms of intermittency as solar power generation relies on sunlight availability and the necessity for energy storage solutions to ensure a continuous power supply. Nevertheless, progress in energy storage technologies and grid management has been instrumental in addressing these obstacles, as well as rendering solar power an increasingly viable and dependable renewable energy alternative. Although hysteresis control is limited in frequency control, this problem was addressed in this work by a modified hysteresis control (MHC) to obtain a constant switching frequency and thus an increased overall efficiency of the system. The investigation was carried out using the MATLAB program.
