Satellite-terrestrial Integrated Computing and Artificial Intelligence as a Means of Achieving Handover Management

A ubiquitous computing system that includes satellites, airborne platforms, terrestrial and maritime communications networks, and computing systems is created through satellite-terrestrial integrated computing (STC). Digital services are available for heavily populated places via terrestrial networks and computing systems, but not for sparsely populated locations like the desert, the sea, or space. STC links terrestrial mobile communications networks and low-Earth orbit (LEO) and high-Earth orbit (HEO) satellites to provide seamless, multidimensional coverage. Additionally, STC develops a computing system that combines cloud computing, terrestrial communications, satellite networks, and satellite networks. This will make digital services more inclusive and widely available. With the advancement of communication technology, satellites and terrestrial systems will serve as computer nodes in a network system that is interconnected and provides ubiquitous connectivity. New opportunities for enhancing hybrid STC performance are presented by recent advancements in AI. Network operators can improve the effectiveness, dependability, and security of STC wireless communications by utilizing AI approaches including deep learning (DL), reinforcement learning (RL), and machine learning (ML).
