The Low Power Implementation of Hamming-Code Encoder and Decoder using GDI Logic for Error Free Transmission and Reception in Digital Data Communication

In this paper, to accomplish this work builds a HC decoder and encoder circuit for impeccable reception and transmitting data communication digitally based on GDI(gate diffusion input) logic. A cutting-edge method for creating low power VLSI circuits is GDI logic. This method keeps the circuit’s complexity minimal while offering a superior compromise between area, latency, and power in contrast to other logic techniques documented in the literature. Circuit architectures for hamming code encoders and decoders are built and simulated utilizing the GDI technique. This study presents the advantages of the GDI approach over architectures constructed with CMOS logic types. This work describes simulations used to investigate the benefits of GDI and CMOS logic in microwind technology. According to the simulation results, GDI shows a power reduction of almost 50% when compared to CMOS. Additionally, it is discovered that, in comparison to CMOS, it offers a notable improvement in delay and a reduction in the number of transistors needed to do any operation. Additionally, to study the GDI technology, hamming code encoder and decoder logic circuits are simulated using GDI and CMOS. The simulation findings clearly show that for a VLSI circuit designer, the GDI logic is a superior low power design principal choice.
