A performance disparity exists when comparing full power processing to reduced redundant power processing. While full power processing does not necessitate additional converters, reduced redundant power processing relies on converters such as quadratic converters. $\mathrm{R}^{2} \mathrm{P}^{2}$ applications encompass both step-up and step-down converters. In step-up $\mathrm{R}^{2} \mathrm{P}^{2}$ applications without cascading connections, there is a reduction in power transfer between the input and output ports of connected converters. This relates specifically to the design of step-up DC-DC modulators characterized by a quadratic duty ratio correlation and the capability to achieve a broad voltage conversion range.
