Flow Field Analysis of UAV Power Unit

UAV power unit is the most important component in UAV. Its working state will be directly related to whether the UAV can complete the normal and stable takeoff and make it complete the flight action smoothly, so it is necessary to design the test platform for the UAV power device. In this paper, the flow field simulation analysis of the ducted fan and the fan in the state of no flow and fixed position is carried out to explore the theoretical design of the UAV power device test platform. In this paper, Creo software is used to build a geometric model for the test platform of UAV power unit. Then, the flow field of the ducted fan and the fan is taken as the research and analysis object. SpaceClaim modeling software combined with MRF method is used to establish the rotating region surrounding the fan and the static region outside the fan as the calculation domain in the flow field analysis, and Fluent software is used to grid the calculation domain of the ducted fan and the fan. The flow field is analyzed under the conditions of 10000rpm, 9000rpm, 8000 rpm, 7000rpm, 6000rpm and 5000rpm. Finally, the thrust and torque of the ducted fan are the highest when 10000rpm is analyzed.
