Evaluation of Wind Energy Resources on Electric Power and Wireless Communication Shared Towers

As a type of clean energy, the evaluation of wind energy resources is crucial for the multidimensional development of energy, environmental protection, and economy. As a facility for sharing power and wireless communication, the shared tower has multiple advantages in wind energy resource assessment. This article compares the RMSE (Root Mean Square Error) evaluation mode based on power and wireless communication shared tower with the MCP (Measure-correlated-prediction) evaluation mode. In the end, it reached the following conclusion: in MCP mode, it is 2.06 m/s, and in shared tower mode, it is 1.97 m/s. The shared tower mode undoubtedly has lower RMSE and higher evaluation accuracy. Therefore, this study found that the power and wireless communication shared tower model has sufficient advantages for evaluating wind energy resources.
