Low-crosstalk compact optical isolator for 4-core fiber

An optical isolator with 5.5-mm outer diameter and 29-mm length was fabricated using uncoupled 4-core fiber. Low inter-core crosstalk of -50 dB was obtained in the wavelength range from 1525 to 1570 nm and validated in the temperature range from -5 to +70°C.
