4 Gbit/s optical wireless communication with high-power transmitter

We present a VCSEL-based transmitter prototype using pulsed modulation for optical wireless communication, designed for a large coverage area and offering a data rate comparable to mm-wave radio systems. We demonstrate data rates up to 4 Gbit/s using on-off-keying modulation.
